Jinzou's protection spec for 70. I used to hate being a tank, but it might be fun now that the raids are smaller.

For the first time in a very long time, Jinzou was the MT of a pick up group. I was checking out the LFG channel when I was online last night and I guess I forgot to take myself off of it. About 1/2 hour into my playtime, a rogue whispers me asking me if I was still interested in the Underbog. After a little self debate whether or not I wanted to bash my head in with frustration that night, I said, sure, I'll go. I asked around in guild chat at who'd like to join and a 67 moonkin offered.

When our party started, we had myself as the MT, the rogue, a shadow priest, a hunter and the druid. We actually didn't do too badly, though I was more used to the faster pace of our guild groups. By the end of the night we did complete the instance and I even picked up a Talisman of Tenacity, a tank neck upgrade from my Medallion of Steadfast Might.

I did enjoy being the MT of this group. However, I wish people knew how to focus fire. If people /assisted me like they should, only the healer should get excess aggro from any of the multiple mobs pulled. But I didn't feel like educating anyone last night. We survived, I'm happy.

I gave the fury build a try for half a level. Sorry dual-wield afficianados, I wasn't enjoying myself as much as I thought I'd be. Maybe things would be different in a raiding situation where a fury warrior's dps would really shine. But it turned levelling into a button mashing bore, and battlegrounds was more frustrating than fun.

I admit, I love the high damage and crits I get as an arms warrior. Mortal Strike feels like I'm slicing into mobs (and clothie hordeses) like butter. Like rich, creamery butter.

Jinzou is level 64 now. I just picked up Spell Reflection. I can't wait to try it out.

Nailbunny

Introducing Nailbunny. This is the third "main" alt, and once again she'll be seeing some action soon while I attempt to make a push to level 50.

The dog slobbering over her shoulder in the screenshot is a Black Ravager from Duskwood, named "Curious".

(Nailbunny's name was lifted from a Jhonen Vasquez comic book called Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. Nailbunny was the physical manifestation of psycho murderer Johnny's conscience which took the form of a disembodied bunny head. Nailbunny always tended to be my default FPS handle, mainly because I'm not very original when it comes to online names. This hunter gets this name because she's a shooter. Get it? Har!)

At this point, I'm going to probably break from playing my priest for a little bit and start concentrating on getting Evolyne and Jinzou to level 70. I'm in a casual guild right now, but they're gearing up for some heavy duty instancing/raiding in the near future, and it would be fun to be a part of that.

For fun, I decided to turn on Fraps while I was playing my druid last night. And then for even more fun, I decided to put it together.

This is the second WoW movie I've ever made, first time using Windows Movie Maker. It's a pure PvE movie, and I'm sure it's not the best druid action anyone's ever seen but from a personal standpoint I think it's neat. (Keep in mind, I've only been playing a healer druid up to 60!)

Perdita gets her elekk in one more level. She's 1/3rd of the way through level 39, was able to equip her Scarlet Monastery goods but was unable to finish up a quest in the Badlands to get her Nifty Stopwatch.

However, I've been playing my warrior and druid this weekend in the outlands and it really is fun to melee. This reminds me why I always gravitate towards melee type characters in most RPGs, and why I chose a warrior to play first to begin with.

For the first time ever, I specced Jinzou to a fury build. She has great DPS equipment from AQ, a Maladath in the main hand and an Anubisath Warhammer in the offhand. But she's always been a hybrid arms/protection tank, a build which was very, very nice for PvP. I figure, I should check out the action packed life of a dual-wielding fury warrior, because undoubtedly at level 70, she'll be called on to tank more often than not. Jinzou dinged level 62 after turning in some quests from Hellfire Citadel and Blood Furnace this weekend.

Playing Evolyne has actually been sinfully fun, prowling around in cat form and slapping mobs in the face with high crits. I want to try her new feral awesomeness in battlegrounds. I'm sorely lagging behind in honour.

All throughout my raiding career, I've always said "This druid will always be a healer.". I may eat my words. As I'm anticipating 10 more levels to reach, and taking care of a warrior as well as a couple of lowbie alts (my draenei priest and my dwarf hunter), I'm wondering if it would be any better to suck it up and try out the feral tree for once in Evolyne's life.

Evolyne is in Darnassus right now, waiting for some potions and herbs to sell so she can give in to her primal instincts and become a feral fighter in the outlands.

Though her epic gear is mostly for healing, she has some effective feral equipment as well, blue items collected from Zul'gurub, BRS, Stratholme and Scholomance, which should do until the easy upgrades come along as she levels in the outlands. The epic healing gear however won't go to waste. If I'm required to heal, I'll still be able to use this gear.

A level 70 friend graciously helped Perdita and another Shaman friend through Scarlet Monastery the other night. Perdita came away with some nice loots, some she is not able to use yet, still nice to have nonetheless when she arrives at that level.

By the time she is level 40, this should be her wardrobe

After running back and forth through quests in Ashenvale, Perdita struck level 30 late last night. There is one more quest in Ashenvale that I need to do and then I'm out of here. I think maybe after that, she'll journey to Stranglethorn Vale to quest to 40 as much as she can, with frequent visits to Scarlet Monastery and Gnomeregan.

I've been trying to find a party for Blackfathom Deep for a few levels now but I've been too busy grind questing to hang around towns and do the LFG in the general channels. I've noticed not a lot of people use the new LFG interface, or something. At the least, in my opinion, it's pretty flawed.

Yesterday, I took a sick day to get over a cold that's been bothering me. I finally got a group together for BFD, and though I don't want to really go into it, it was pure, unadulterated hell. I hated it, I hated most of the people I quested with and when that was over, three hours later, I hadn't finished any of the quests at all. It was complete bullshit.

So I grind quested some more, reaching level 29. In bitterness, I've realized that if I had just walked away from that nightmare BFD group, I would have at least been 30, but I'm proud and often too accomodating.

The new quests in Forest Song, Ashenvale, were pretty interesting and provided much of my late 20's XP. I especially thought the Felfire Hell region was pretty cool. After levelling there for a while, I hooked up later with a new group for BFD. This time though, the group was well balanced. There was only 4 of us, but the mage was lvl 36, the warlock and warrior were 32 and with me being the lowest at 29, it was good enough. We blasted through that place, with only one wipe where things just got a little crazy. However, we killed Aku'mai, and turned in our quests. For now, I'm through with BFD, unless I'm bored and someone with a group asks me to join them.

Now the next instances I'm not looking forward to random grouping in are Scarlet Monastery and Gnomeregan. I'm sure it'll be a whirlwind of fun. :(

Perdita joined two groups to finish some elite quests in Lakeshire. I think for a new player, I can see this is where you learn to really hate pick up groups. Suffice it to say, I seriously dislike when a warrior is yelling "HEALS" in party chat when I have 2-3 elite orcs furiously pounding on me, my fade and shield on cool down, and the shaman also tanking some other group of orcs that mysteriously appears out of nowhere. NOT COOL AT ALL!

The questlines at Bloodmyst Isle were interesting. It's nice to follow quests that I've never done before in a game I've been playing for two years + now. When it came time for Perdita to leave and venture off to help the rest of the denizens of Azeroth, the send off for her was a nice touch. Friends and allies, and even the Prophet Velen were there to thank her and give her their support.

After a long journey Perdita has started to quest in the human lands of Westfall. She joined a group for the Deadmines last night. Of course, like most PUGs go, it was plagued with people who constantly AFKed, people who left after certain bosses, a mage that seemed to be tanking everything , a warlock's pet that would run around and aggro everything. Thank goodness I'm experienced with healing. And thank goodness I knew to keep the mage shielded pretty much 80% of the time because it certainly wasn't the warlock, or paladin who was providing much of the DPS.

Despite a few problems, in which the paladin had to enlist the aid of a level 49 hunter guild member, we killed Edwin Van Cleef. I cut off his head and looted the next quest for Basil Thredd and hearthed the heck out of there. Perdita came away with the winning roll for a very sexy Corsair Overshirt (it matches her Buccaneer Pants) and for finishing the quest, she got her Staff of Westfall.

I've been playing World of Warcraft since December 2004 (soon after it's release). My first character I've ever created and explored Azeroth with was a human warrior, named Jinzou. My boyfriend played a paladin and together we were constant companions through level 60. I joined a new high end raiding guild and was part of that guild's successes up to Ragnaros until it split. I then joined, and subsequently became the guild master for that guild's successor. We continued to be one of the top 3 alliance guilds on the server, conquering Blackwing Lair, then Ahn'qiraj until drama, player burn-out and non-selective recruiting stopped us in our tracks soon after we killed Noth the Plaguebringer, in Naxxramas.

Because of time constraints I've decided to stop playing in a hardcore raiding guild. No doubt, I can see myself raiding in the future, but only at a more comfortable pace which will allow me late nights at work, doing artwork and other things.

Right now, my main characters, Jinzou and Evolyne, a level 60 druid, have halted at level 60. I haven't yet decided what to do with them. I certainly want to make Jinzou a PvP goddess. My current project is to level a draenei priest, Perdita. I've always been intrigued with the priest class. As a druid, I've really enjoyed healing, and wanted to carry that further, and as well, I've always enjoyed a challenge.

This journal is my WoW journal, nothing more, nothing less. Please don't friend me if you're not interested in WoW or if all you want to do is just heckle. Join my real journal if you need to get updates about my life. I'll most likely be posting a lot in there anyway.
